DFI LanParty UT RDX200

Thread Starter
Hi i have tried to oc my cpu but i could only change the FSB from 200Mhz to 215Mhz. After that the system freezes on the bootup post screen.

I think it might be something to do with needed to put more voltage to the cpu but not sure and if so not sure on how to change the voltage.

In the Genie BIOS its a little further down, its called VID CPU. Its set to auto, however I dont think you need more voltage. Make sure your LDT is set to 4x and your CPU/FSB to whatever the highest multi is on the CPU.

Also I have HT PLL set to disable as for some reason with it on it caused instablility. Maybe someone can shed some light on what that feature is.

Iv changed the LDT setting to 4x , put my multiplyer to the highest which is 12, and changed my FSB upto 225Mhz windows run on 230Mhz but took a while at bootup post screen looked like it was struggling and tried 240Mhz and that just froze switched to 230Mhz and it restarted pc

anything else i could do to overclock my MB

wot bout my memory they DDR333 will this affect my oc didn't think i would be able to put my FSB past 166Mhz but it started at 200Mhz any corrections to help me would appreciate it thx

Yea to help stability disable usb kb and mouse also go into the power settings and put power on to hardware only.

Read a few reviews on the mobo, they tell a lot about it when they talk about the BIOS. And I just meant set your multi all the way up, I did not know the multi for the 4600 as mine only goes to 10 per my CPU.

i changed the hardward to enabled but that didn't allow the system to be stable when i had an fsb of 240Mhz. I increased the voltage of the cpu by 0.025v but now my pwm ic temperature is a little high between 48C and 50C

can anyone explain what the PWM IC is i looked on google and found that its a pulse width modulator but i still don't understand it, and where abouts can i find it on my mobo, i dont think i have a fan on it because there is no fan speed for it on my Smartguardian program.

From searching around DFI Street I have found that it is right above your CPU, its a very small chip. I put a Thermaltake all copper heatsink on it and it dropped about 10C. Also right above your power connector there are two more chips I suggest putting a ramsink on each one. And lastly I put one on my PCIE Ethernet which is inbetween the PCIE x16 and PCIE x1.
