M5A97 NB/Cpu overclocking assistance

Thread Starter
So I was hoping to achieve 2600 mhz nb/cpu atm i'm overclocked at 4ghz with the 8120 via fsb only to 251 without any voltage increase I left everything in auto except the turbo frequency thingy ram is at 1666.

6870 is stable at 1ghz mem clock at 1.2ghz at 1.27v

So i thought since i'm overclocked to 4ghz and 1ghz on my vid card I thought might be bottlenecked by my nb/cpu now I'm a bit new to this so I don't know the safe voltages as to the nb/cpu and I only expect to achieve 2600 wich I beleive it shouldnt be a problem but then again I'm the noob here tongue.gif

any assistance/advice will be gladly apreciated and + rep if ya deserve it =D

2600 is a little bit hard to hit, needs like 1.40V in my case (LLC will push it higher if enabled).
I keep it at 2500... and 1.30V is enough for it.
Set the CPU voltage manually. AUTO might raise it,...usually higher than needed --> more heat
Also, you have to OC that cpu higher, but I think you will need a better cooling system
