Sabertooth 990FX,FX-6100 Bios Screen larger than my monitor

Thread Starter
I recently built my second build. a sabertooth 990fx with a fx-6100 cpu, 16gb Gskill 1333 ram, Gigabyte HD6870.

I had 2 blue screens yesterday playing a game, both said crash dump, then restarted. So I thought Id check into my bios (903) and see what it might have to say. although I cant see most of the bios. I have tried 3 monitors and no sucsess. I cant do anything in bios. my mouse will travel past the edge of the screen, but I dont want to click as I dont know what I might clicking. Ive tried changing resolutions and monitors, Just about ready to take it in. any help would be greatly appreciated.

I do believe My ram sticks are causeing the blue screen issue, as they are not on the qualified vendor list for the sabertooth. its either that or I have a bad slot on the mobo.

I did run a memory test which said it was fine, but it didnt run long and the blue screen happened after about 3 hours of game play.

For now I would just like to see my bios and be able to look around, check my ram configeration and stuff. I tried the auto button on a monitor adn didnt really do anything. Im getting super frustrated.

Thank you for your time

it's G.Skill I really don't like their ram nether does my sabertooth. Runs Some IBT or LinX at max ram to see if the ram was failing that's how i checked - new ram = passing linpack.

well. took back the 4 sticks of gskill today and got 4 x4gb corsair vengence 1600 I dont know what happen, but the game I was playing the other day whe I had the blue screens was getitng 60fps while playing with GSkill. then after I put in the corsar I logged on and I was getting 160-201fps. I wouldnt have thought ram would make that much of a diffrence. at first I though maybe something was mesed up. so I checked my settings and nope. they were still on ultra. smile.gif One happy camper here. smile.gif If I get another blue screen I would be suprised. I think Ill wait about a week or so before I start messing with overclocks and stuff. bios says the ram is running at 1333mhz and the ram I got is 1600 so I would liek to bump that up at least.... but I will wait. haha

Thank you for the tip. so far so good. smile.gif havent ran any tests yet
