Looking for a new mouse...

1. What's your grip style?
Claw grip (i think)

2. What's your sensitivity?
I don't know how to describe it... somewhere between 1000-2000? when i do the "calibrate" function the speed always changes depending on the DPI i use.

3. What's your maximum budget?
Don't care but nothing redonkulously expensive

4. Do you want additional buttons?
Would be prefered

5. What games do you play?
All FPS (BF3, CoD, etc) Some third person...

6. Do you mind about prediction?
Wat?

My current mousepad is a QCK but its getting worn out, so i was going to get a QCK+ Heavy to replace it.
I was thinking about getting a G400 or G500 and a QCK+ Heavy, but i don't know what i should get.

Also, NO RAZER.

I know you hate razer but im loving my deathadder.biggrin.gif

However, a year ago I had a logitech G9x (i think thats the name) and iot was awesome. I loved that thing had weights to be put inside, instant DPI increase or decrease for when you need it in game, and multiple buttons and great drivers.

The only reason I dident grab it instead of my deathadder is because only option in store, and im impatient.tongue.gif

@ 2. point:
That are your dpi=| sensitivity in games. If you want to measure your sensitivity either take a ruler and do a 180°/360° spin or use this http://www.funender.com/quake/mouse/index.html for quake engine based games (CoD in your case).

If you dont want to buy a razer mouse then the newest G400 is the better option. Don't go for the G500, it has some flaws and is more expensive, e.g. the sensor is not in the center of the mouse -> you can get used to it, but at the beginning it feels off and the sensor (Avago 9500) has some hardware built in acceleration.

But both of these mice aren't exactly designed for a claw grip. But that depends a little bit on the size of your hand.

Some other mice you could consider :

- Zowie AM -> symmetrical shape, solid sensor, very good for your grip
- Zowie EC1/EC2 -> ergonomical shape like the IE 3.0; prolly the EC2 would be better out of those two, because it's smaller and suits a claw grip better.
- Steelseries Sensei -> symmetrical shape, no prediction, expensive, but it has the A9500 sensor, according to some people here the tracking on cloth pads is more or less fixed.

I would recommend the Zowie AM, but since you are a claw gripper the G9x would feel right at home. biggrin.gif Though if you are picky, the Avago 9500 would have acceleration(inconsistent) issues on the QcK Heavy.

Pick a mouse that you are comfortable with, after all you will be holding it for hours on end. rolleyes.gif

I'm using the Steelseries XAi, and I'm more or less a claw gripper too. I use it on a QcK+ XXL, and a slow sensitivty but I got used to the acceleration everyone talks about, so it doesnt bother me. tongue.gif

None of those mice requiere any specific kind of mousepad. So you can pick whatever you like.

Some very common mousepads are:

Razer Goliathus Speed

Steelseries Qck+/ Qck Heavy

Yes and no.
For example Zowie AM doesn't work good on multicolor mousepads - like razer goliathus.
I would recomend any full-black mousepad for zowie AM
