I am a US Cellular customer, and looking to get a new phone. Currently I have the Samsung Mesmerize (or Fascinate). In case you don't know, the Electrify is a Photon without 4G. USCC is expected to release the GS2 in a few weeks, and I can't decide between these devices. Speed wise they are very close. The Electrify has a better resolution but the GS2 has a Super AMOLED screen. Other than that just really looking for input. My biggest worry is build quality. Samsung phones have always felt cheap and plasticy to me, especially the Galaxy S.

Well, the build of the Samsung Galaxy S2 isn't magnificent, I have cracked my back panel (very flimsy) and chipped all around the bezel.
But, I treat my phone a little harshly, and I have seen people with the same phone for the same time in immaculate condition.
Personally, as a SGS2 owner, I'd get the S2.

What the hell are you doing, throwing you phone in a wood chipper?
Also, get the S2...you can't beat the SuperAmoLED+ display.

No, I broke the back panel due to opening it too many times, it flees when you open it, and once, I just went to get my MicroSD, and shabam, cracked it. from then on, it's gently cracked more and more until one corner is completely missing..
Other than that, the chips are more like little scratches that expose the material underneath the finish.
There is a plus side on the broken corner - my signal seems to be better :?
