K so the tdp on these chip is 125w but when I run prime at stock voltage with my v6GT cooler it is getting 192.10W and staying at 1.3V I find this really abnormal wanted to have some opinion before I go turn it in.

Is that turbo-thingy enabled? That will really increase power draw and temperature. Try looking in your BIOS to see if there is a way to disable it.

its the cpu at that voltage, i have one. the first 8120 i had was a real piece. but heated up the same as the one i rma'd. they get really really hot. the first 8120 i had ran at normal voltage but the one i have now ran the same as you are talking about. 1.3v.
on the cpu itself and the not the box it had a different part number which is an oem cpu, maybe you have the same. but the voltage is ok but they are really hard to keep cool.

I had what i thought was a great cooler but it just wouldnt do the job, ended up getting an H80 and it is still hard to keep cool. but on the cpu i rma'd 1.3v would overheat my cpu in seconds. so your cooler is better than the zalman biggrin.gif

no I disabled the turbo and tested it locked at 3.3 and at 3.1 wich is the stock without turbo it was consuming the same 192.10W

I'm pretu sure something is wrong as normally without any overclock and stock cooler it wouldnt get that hot running prime and if it does it would stay under safe limit now I sm using an aftermarket cooler V6GT and the wattage on the cpu at stock is being 192 instead of 125 something is definetly wrong now I don't know if this is my cpu or my motherboard I was reading something about blown mosfets or overheating mosfets so maybe i got a bad mobo...

appler how are the temps not normal but you dont know about them, i had a phenom 965 and my zalman kept that thing under 50c 1.55v . i put the zalman on my 8120 and at 1.3v would get over 65 fast. so i rma'd that cpu thinking something was wrong and got another that did the same. so i went and got water cooling and can get temperatures like yours appler but they are hard to cool especially on air. my cooler also had 3 heat pipes. mine is also 192w 4.6ghz overclock
