I don't think it's a good idea to Raid 0 ssd's until you're at a worry-free capacity (120gb+). I'd save $40 and go with a Force GT 120gb. I don't think you'll notice "double the speeds" except in benchmarks, and you'll run out of space really fast (that Raid 0 speeds doesn't help if you can't fit the programs you want on there tongue.gif). If you're absolutley certain that you won't go over 60gb, though, it's your money biggrin.gif

If you do end up going with a 120gb, take the $40 you save and buy higher-quality power supply with it. Corsair, seasonic, etc. just to name a few good companies. $60 for a 750w is a little... sketchy.

You'll probably also have some RAM clearance issues with that Dominator RAM. The giant heatsinks are unnecessary for 1600MHz. Go with something with low-profile heatsinks. Corsair XMS3 4x4gb 1600MHz would work fine (I happen to own a set redface.gif).

And as for the graphics cards, in such a tiny "suit-case build", I'd try to find a single card solution rather than a CFX setup. Less heat/power. Ditch the two aftermarket coolers and go for a 7950 maybe (if space permits).

1.) I would down-grade from a I7 to a I5. Why do you want the I7 over the I5?
2.) I would down-grade from 16Gb of RAM to 8Gb. Please don't waste your money. Unless your running multiple virtual machines, 16Gb will do you know good.

Now, i would re-invest this money to get

3.) x2 120 Gb SSD's in RAID 0 for 240 Gb total.
4.) x2 GTX 560 Ti's in SLi or a GTX 570/580.

Your gonna run out of GPU and SSD space long before you run out of CPU and RAM. I think my suggestions will make your build more practical. :-)

Oh yeah, that's what I mean to add. +1 Crimson.

The 2700k is over-kill. The minimal (and unnoticeable) gains over a 2600k (or even a 2500k) do not warrant the steep price difference.

A few questions

1. Are hardware choices based on aesthetics ?

2. Why the need for a 2700k and not just a 2600k. I know this build is for school work and such.

3. RAM is crazy expensive IMO

4. Why the raidmax PSU ? I can fine many better and its the weaklink

5. Are you going to upgrade the fan on the Scythe cooler ? The low profile one that some with it is not very good

I am not a fan of what you have done here... but that is me personally.
Raiding SSD's is too much of a risk for very little return, buy 1 larger SSD and stick with it.
Lose the dual 6850's in favor of a 7950, which will give you the ~same performance with much more upgrade capability later on.
Why are you going with 200 bucks in ram? You can get 1600 8gb kits for ~50 bucks that will perform much the same, snag up two of those instead.
Why all the case fans but a weak cpu cooler? Loose the fans, get a NH-D14 instead.
When getting the 7950, get one with a good cooler already on it and lose the....
ugh, here, let me just assemble you a build real quick.

Also not sure why you are grabbing a 2700k over a 2600, but here is a build using that cpu.
I also changed the mobo, judging by your build, you are after looks quiet a bit, so here is a mobo that will give you more upgrade options down the road and looks the same-ish as a maximus.
If you really want, drop the silly 2700k for a 2600k in my build and get yourself the big boy formula mobo.

Anyway, here it is:
