MSI Z68A-GD55 - Good board for $170? - Page 2

Definitely stick to 1600mhz and I would recommend this kit -- http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820220561 -- as it is CL8 vs CL9 for the Gskill.

If you need to save some go for this it's 1600 cl9 like the gskills. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820220569

nice combo smile.gif as to RAM, there is no real world difference between 1333 and 1600 but my personal prefernce is 1600s lol..
you can just get some 1333 if it saves you abit thumb.gif

Is there any noticeable difference between CL8 and CL9? The CL9 are more costly then the CL8s and wondering if having CL8s would be that much of a notice.

if you bench them there will see a difference in performance but if you notice it i doubt, but i would get the CL8s as they will have slightly better performance and cheaper, bang for buck thumb.gif

Like he said, if cl8 is cheaper, go with it but its not a huge difference.

Where'd you get one for $99 o.O

And I think I'm going to try and get the parts I listed earlier:

The G.SKILL RAM, 2500k, and ASRock Extreme4

And then just use my GTX260, etc. Because the 260 is still a decent card I believe.

EDIT: What about a Asus P8Z68-M Pro?

I have two P67 Asus boards and two MSI P67 boards and I like my MSI boards better. They're both solid boards, but I prefer the MSIs.
