Linx freeze whats the issue?!

No BSOD or anything... just freezes my computer from anywhere from 50 seconds to 2 min.

What causes linx to freeze like that?

fx8120 @ 4.8 & 1.392v

(and dang these chips run hot or is it just me. Even my NH-D14 cant keep these temps low enough.. 65c after a run of cinebench, linx freezes to fast to monitor)

Depends, it is a very demanding application; I'd be curious though, if you ran the OCCT PSU test, if your graphics dies out half way through. I noticed this on a few of my buddies PCs. They thought it was alternating between GPU and linpack, but it doesn't, runs one on top of the other (hence PSU). Basically 10-15 minutes into the test, framerate would drop and never recover; turns out their overclocks were just too high and the ram was causing the graphics drivers to corrupt.

Usually freezes like that can be attributed to either ram or the IMC, but you also might want to leave 100mbs or so of ram available for the OS to use while linx is running. Also, if you have any gadgets that monitor CPU utilization, turn them off, they cause it to go nuts like you describe.

Linx won't support instructions on AMD hardware that it does on intel hardware, causing allot of cpu heat and useage
