Compatible Cooler with 16GB Vengeance Ram - Page 6

From Noctua with love

"Please also keep in mind that other components such as narrow or small cases as well as memory modules with special (higher) heat-spreaders can cause compatibility-issues. " - in regards to the NH-C14.

the vengeance is a tad over 50mm in height and the NH-C14 offers 65mm with one fan on the top....

also there is a taller RAM heatsink

@ 61 mm tall.

Flip your fan over.

I've been trying different setups with the fans and it seems as if this gives the best aitflow in my case.
As the temps are lower with this setup. (I had it turned the other way to start with)

so i went to my local Fry's Electronic store and i found that the H100 was being sold at $95, i ended up buying it to test it out, now my only question is on my cm 690 II case should i set up the H100 fans pushing the air out of my case or inside the case? cause they say either way is fine but since im new to the h100 i don't have a clue i ended up setting it with the fans on top pushing air down(inside my case) and the radiator at the bottom, is that correct or can someone tell me how? ill post a picture as soon as i get a chance

install it on the top but keep the fans pulling

first its easier to setup and the 2nd thing is that its easier to clean cause the dust will stick at the radiator and can be removed quickly with a vacuum cleaner

if you keep your fans pushing the air onto it, then you need to remove the fans to clean the radiator.#

but this is just my opinion and what i have seen on another machine

run first option in prime (small fft) for about at least 3-4 hours
run the H100 in full speed. also test another config where you use the fans in push position.

is the h100 mounted properly, how did you used the tim? dot or any other spreading method used?

i used the thermal that came with the h100 which was already pre-applied , and yes im pretty sure it is mounted properly, but about the test will anything happen to the cpu if it reaches over 90c or should i remove the h100 and check it to make sure the thermal is ok?

this are the temps when computer is not being used
