I bought a gtx 580 DCII of another member here on the site. It has the modded bios to have higher volts. Now I have a new gtx 580 DCII on the way and I want to mod the bios to match the one I have now, but I have no clue on how to go about it. If anyone can help on what I need to do it and a quick summary of how to, I will appreciate it greatly.

all your doing is saving the BIOS from one card and flashing it to the other...Â
Â
you can use GPU-z you save a copy of your BIOS.. from there, just look up any 'GPU BIOS Flash' how-to.. and your off... better have a thumb-drive handy that you can make bootable too ;)

YA thats basically what I want to do for now, till I get the hang of the process. Eventually I want to raise the core max on both even more. To edit the bios would I just use nbitor, then once modded, just flash it over?
what would having a thumb drive bootable be for?

So i looked up some different guides and decided to do a trial run on my 460's. I pulled the bios with gpu-z and edited it with Nbitor, but thats where I got stuck at. I read a guide on useing nvflash in windows but couldnt get it to work at all. Is there any good guide I can ref to so I can flash the bios on to the cards?

Nice guide. I'll have to try this out when I put my rig back together. One question, say I have two gtx 580 DCII's, will this flash both at the same time?

That I'm not certain about. I'd love to give it a try just to see but I currently only have one 580. This is just an assumption, but I would think it would be something that you would have to do card by card, but even then, that would be semi difficult having to pull one card at a time out of your build. Alright , I'm running into a slight problem. I follow the guide, move the editedbios.rom to nvflash, it opens, press y, First card flashes fine, then second card comes up, press, and it say eeprom erase failed, wrie protection enabled. I have a screen shot of it ill put below. Is there a way to disable the write protection on vga 2? Other than that your method will work great and is very simple! + rep for the guide and help
