HD 6970 upgrade from GTX 560?

So I am getting tempted by the HD 6970 2GB cards around $299. Seeing as how the HD 7870 is basically going to be a rebadged HD 6970 at the same price, there is not much reason to wait.

I am finding it difficult to estimate how much of a performance increase I can get going from a GTX 560 (no-Ti) to HD 6970. There are very few benchmarks for the GTX 560 but I have mine overclocked to perform close to a GTX 560 Ti.

If your willing to spend the money i would go for it thumb.gif It would range to 15-20 FPS better than your current 560.

this is more of what your looking at... if you have your gtx 560 to pretty much 560 ti performance then check this out but as far as im concerned the 560 is literally the same as a 460 1gb..

560 ti vs 6970

but yes this would be a very nice upgrade not only in vram for that extra edge in AA situations, but also just all around performance thumb.gif i would say pick up the 6970!! cause you can still overclock that biggrin.gif
