You guys realized that WITHOUT
any sort of drug/treatment, then EVERYONE
would die. You don't think that maybe others are willing to risk their lives (which, technically they are already doing by living an at-risk lifestyle) if it helps generate a vaccine? It's not like the people will not be informed of the details and consequences.
No one is forcing people to participate, and these people shouldn't be doing anything different with their lives if they do or don't get a placebo pill. Their biggest danger is their own choices in lifestyle, nothing to do with the drug trial.
