Issue with Evga gtx 580 temperature

Hello guys smile.gif

I hope you help me with a concern I have. I have an Evga gtx 580 and it is not overclocked.
However, the cad beautifully runs idle at around 44 to 47c and I don't know if it's fine or not.
Sometimes when I play or watching a movie, I notice the card's temperature raises at around 55 to 60c.

I have an Asus 24" 1080p LED monitor.

So, please can any one tell me if I should do something about it.
Thanks a lot.

That is perfectly acceptable. The temperature limit for your card is specified at 97C according to Nvidia. I like to keep about 10C or 12C or leeway below that, so you really only need be concerned if your card gets much hotter than about 85C

Yup, your fine.

The 580's while gaming should be below 80C. You are fine.

Just make sure your case has airflow and that you tidy-up the cables to allow more clean flow of air.

mine in sandwiched SLI run at 82c and 77c under load overclocked on a custom fan profile...

Completely stock, they were up to 89c and 82c...

You are fine and it's no issue...

Edit: Also every few months, I take my cards out and use an air duster on them... These can collect a lot of dust, especially if your case has no fan filters... and when blowing them, try not to spin the fan, as it's not recommended....
