I bet more people than not would love MUMBLE / Teamsync + BF3 if the community would establish a BF3 MURMUR server. You could technically have a room for every running BF3 server certified with the MUMBLE host(MURMUR server). Each BF3 server room on the MUMBLE server would automatically place you in the channel of the squad of your choice, in the server you chose to play in. You would no longer have ALT+Tab to desktop to place yourself in the squad channel like you have to do with vent and TS3. Project Reality already has a server like this running and it covers every public server on the globe that has the MUMBLE plug in.

Hearing Directional Audio from the things the other team is saying within 50m and the direction in which it is coming brings a hole new level of gameplay called Positional Auditory Awareness. If you have yet to play a game with COM positional awareness, then you don't know what it is like to hear a guy standing around the corner from you, talking to his/her team, getting ready to move in your direction. You can us Squad Closed-COM when talking to your squad, to which the enemy will not hear you. Though if you are with a group of other BLUEFOR/OPFOR and have to COM, the other team will hear you in Open-COM, if within 50m. At 50m voices sound distant, or like whispers, or just muffled sounds, but you'll know where they are coming from!

MUMBLE is the best game COM system... EVER!

EDIT: Looked into the BF3 + MUMBLE issue a bit more and found that there is no plugin yet available for BF3, but it is in the works. Release of the plugin is TBD.

Then I found this; BF3 + TeamSync + Mumble = win? @ multiplay.co.uk

That lead me to putting this in the post; Teamsync:About

Teamsync arranges users in a separate VOIP server into team and/or squad channels for TS3 and MUMBLE.
