Some questions regarding watercooling - Page 2

It will also generate less noise than watercooling, but to maximize this noise-reduction, you are going to want to purchase a thicker radiator, so that you will need to cool it with low-speed fans.
Also, if you want to watercool your gpus just because of noise-reduction, then I'm sort of confused. Unless you are setting up a manual fan speed, graphics card fans should not make a lot of noise at all...
If you are planning to do this in a cabinet, or HTPC case, then this is going to be very hard, if not, impossible. Those cases are meant to be very slim, and low profile, which is a watercooling radiator's worst enemy. Closed-loop WC systems would be your best bet, like Corsair, and Antec's closed loop systems.
Let me know if you have any more questions.

He could get a watercooled PSU though

Gentle Typhoon AP-15 120mm fans to me are the best. When you undervolt them you have great cooling with very little noise

WoW Thanks, I'm missing a little explanation about how those compare to the stock fans though. (Thanks a lot for a great reply, I do not mean to sound ungrateful, I'm just in a state of "How do they compare?"

How do these compare to the fan in my PC?. Is it better cooling?, better airflow, cooler looks?

Are you OC anything? If so then WC
Also what is your budget?

See the posts I quote, I'd like a to have it a little less noisy, and perhaps slightly better aircooled.

My Budget isn't set, and I can stretch quite far if the product gives me good value,.

These fans are very powerful fans, yet quiet. Honestly, I just discovered that those are not the fans you want, those are cooling fans, not case fans.... So don't get those.

Get these for case fans: http://www.sidewindercomputers.com/pa12ulqu.html
They will give you more than twice the airflow, yet quieter than the ones you have now...

But what Happycamper75 is saying is right, if you really want to get your sound levels minimized, then just get a fan controller... no need to buy new fans. You can pick up a good fan controller for $19: http://www.sidewindercomputers.com/sckaq8blfanc.html

A user on another forum such as this one suggested that i buy the Fractal Design XL (or R3).

It looks like a beast, is well priced and got a great solution for disks.

He also added that he used Fractals Designs own fans and Silent Vipers'.

Another member also suggested http://www.amazon.com/SILVERSTONE-RV02B-W-Steel-Tower-Computer/dp/B002M78KZG, with sdstock fans.

Any ideas, I might just purchase the Fractal XL, if someone can suggest some nice FAns or the Cooler Master if someone here recommends it.
