Intel build for SWTOR, 800-1000$ - Page 2

Okay both builds are major overkill for the game. Lets make something a bit more reasonable.

Using the same components in my build above, we'll change out some things that will make it easier on the bank account.

Sapphire HD 6870
Rosewill Green 530w power supply

Replacing the 560 ti 448 and the antec neo eco, this will drop the price down to 759.92 dollars.

Honestly a hd 6870 can handle most games out there on high/ultra settings, and if it can handle RIFT, WoW, SC2, Mass Effect 2 all on Ultra, then SWTOR shouldn't be a problem playing maxed either.

you get less of an OC with the 2x2gb ram. Two open MEMORY slots, 2x4gb vs 4x2gb.

Lol you suggested the the ram said it clocked better and now you're saying it doesn't. either English isn't your first language or you're really just not getting your point /reasoning across. I'm not meaning to argue with you but it would suck to be uneducated and have some miss inform me which will lead me to having less than i could.

The 560ti can't keep a constant 60 frames in swtor;s high activity areas so the 6870 would have a lot of trouble.

For the record you recommended him to buy 4x2gb sticks, instead of 2x4gb sticks.

EDIT: If you refer to my previous post, I listed a 560 ti 448 core, which has the same performance range as a HD 6950. It can also compete with the 570, which it essentially is when overclocked slightly.

Thread Starter
I would like to play this on a 46" HDTV 1080p, if that matters. Although I could drop it to 720p if needed. I see on other build requests there are a lot of deals at places like Micro Center but I don't live near one, I am in FL and the closest I see is GA. Just thought I would put this out there.

it makes the 2500k at least $30 more but it's still well worth the price.

I'm just giveing the pros and cons ill just list them here if its confusing or something.

4 x 2GB
Pros: Faster
Cons: $5 more
2 more memory slots full
2 x 4GB
Pros: $5 Cheaper
2 more memory slots empty
Cons: Slower

The difference between the ones you've linked and the ones i linked are also ddr3 1333 for yours and ddr3 1600 for mine, at stock clocks. So the $5 cheaper is justified by the stock clocks itself.

Listen to me, you clearly don't understand how it works, Don't make suggestions to people when you really have no idea. It doesn't help it hurts.
