Pedestal design need your feedback!!*pedestal is built*

Thread Starter
Hello,
I posted a thread a while ago about building a custom pedestal for my HAF 932 and I got very little input/feedback on it.*I think it's the lack of "model/render etc.
So here I took some screenshots of the design I plan on doing.

It will be made of 1/2 inch wood with 1/4 inch wood for the radiator "panels"

Overall dimensions:
23"x 12"x 8"= L x W x H

I will post the screenshots: Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)
pedestal.jpg
pedestal2.jpg
pedestal3.jpg
pedestal4.jpg
pedestal5.jpg
pedestal6.jpg

I am doing this in the hopes for better temps while I add another GTX 470 to my loop.

To add:
Will it be more ideal for components to be right after radiators with this kind of set-up or can I just have it a straight shot e.g 360+240~components being cooled.
Loop order:

1."straight-shot"
Pump/Res~240~CPU~Mobo~360~GPU1~GPU2~Pump/Res

2. "Right after the Other":
Pump/Res~360~240~CPU~Mobo~GPU1~GPU2~Pump/Res

If I do option "1" I will have more tubing to mess with which will require more QDC fittings to purchase, with option "2" I can just buy 2 QDC fittings one for inlet to components and the other going back down to the pedestal.

Any kind of input is greatly appreciated and welcomed.

I don't mind the added height as the case is on a make-shift wall shelf "thing" next to me, which will negate the height adjustments.
Also the "port" on the windowless part of the case is against the wall.

Thanks in advance!!
Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)
Edit:
I've came up with this configuration for the pedestal and I will stick with this.
I plan on mounting the 3x120mm radiator on the floor instead of it vertically.

floor4.png
floor5.png

What do you guys think?
I will start cutting the wood and making final measurements soon, while I'm doing that I have to order some tube and some other odds and ends.
Another thing to add, I will be making the airflow in the HAF 932 at default*re-installing 230mm fans in the front and top. I am also thinking of making a floor panel to hold maybe a 140mm or a 120mm fan for extra air flow.

Edit:
Box is built here are some photos.
I haven't painted the box yet.. so bare with me..
This is going slow.. but it's okay..
I still have to buy some stuff..... wait for my PSU RMA*my HX850 popped* Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)

Okay guys update:
I painted the box and install radiators and fans.
Here it is!! Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)

Now the wait to buy parts, my pc is still case less:*)

I will be repainting the case and I hope it turns out good... the outsides have scratches and stuff so I'll be fixing those. Also debating if I should make the interior a contrast color*maybe like a "gunmetal" color something more subdued*
I just hope it turns out looking and performing well...
Thanks for looking!!

Edit:
Pictures build so far. Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)

Kind of looks crappy in the pictures*don't have proper camera, using my phone's camera.

Option 2 will work just fine, your graphics cards might see ~1C higher water temps but the simpler routing (and reduced quick disconnects) easily outweigh that IMO. I believe the technical number is something like 250w of heat at 1gpm to raise water temps by 1C, so unless you're looking at like a 4x580 loop the water temps aren't going to vary much at all at any point in your loop.

As for the pedestal design, I'm not sure your air intake for the 360mm radiator is big enough... Have you considered maybe putting the 360 on the opposite side, where you have the 240 + res now, and putting the 240mm on the front (matching with the front of the case), and then putting the pump/res in the pc case itself. You could then run Res/Pump > CPU > GPU > GPU > 360 > 240 >.

i personally wouldn't use that res-bay, past that looks pretty awesome, you might want to put some feet on the bottom and add some vents on the bottom, maybe another rad

will there be a panel on the front and back or are you leaving them open?

unless you putt some 1x1 in the corners, it might not be that stable without the front and back

subd for results, I have been playing with this idea in my brain for a while.
And yeah, is that sketchup or something else? would be nice to be able to think in 3d while brainstorming this stuff.

I was also thinking of putting the res/pump in the case too, I will see how that goes.

I will be buy some of those caster wheels from my local hardware store it won't sit on the floor, also the front and back panels will be covered but the back panel will have a hole for a 120/140mm fan with a little hole for the ac/dc molex power adapter which will power the fans and pump.
So I think the structural integrity will be there, the front/back panels are "opened" to show the insides.

I estimated that I will have enough space for a push/pull set-up on the radiator if need be, also the fans will run max.*noise isn't too much of an issue for me....

Yes, it's Google Sketchup and all the 3D models can be found in there plethora of models renders.....
I've been dabbling at the idea for a little over a year, only now I've gotten it on Sketchup, it's a very good tool for stuff like this.
I've messed with it before, but never really figured out how to make exact measurements that I wanted.. once I figured that out.. it was on like donkey kong...

Another thing, I've had doodle's on paper for my lower 240 radiator mod, and for the longest time I've been wasting so much paper.....
Like others have said with any kind of custom thing, PLANNING is key!!

The overall design is what I will do and prolly be how it'll look in the end with a slight difference of course.

I was gonna get panels madein acrylic but decided not to, cause I don't think it will be structurally sound..
Also wanted to have a pedestal built by one of the well known custom case/pedestal mods but shipping will be costly....
One main reason why I opted to do it myself and to add to that... shipping a case would be costly as well.

Thanks Bakageta, the side with the 360 radiator will have about an inch of spacing from the piece that will be against the wall.*I think that would be suffiiciant..
I was also thinking of putting the res/pump in the case too, I will see how that goes.

Well, a 1"x8" intake is only going to give you 8 sq in for intake area, while the fans normally have ~52 sq in of intake (3 circular intakes, ~2.35" radius). That's going to be added strain on the fans, you'll want some with a high static pressure and you can expect quite a bit of air noise to go with it. Ideally, I wouldn't want smaller than a 3"x8" intake, but I don't think that'll leave you enough room for push/pull on both rads.
