overclocking on P6X58d- Premium

Thread Starter
Hi,
Quick question, for me to get a good overclock (4.4 Ghz) I find i need to reduce my ram speed to around 1500, (Its rated at 1866 ) if I reduce the overclock ( to 4.1Hhz) I can then bump the ram up around 1800. What i,m asking is is it better to have high clock speed and lower ram speed, or is it better to have higher ram speed and lower clock speed, I use the PC for games mainly.

Thanks

Higher RAM speeds are not very noticeable. It is better to have a higher OC.

But you should be able to get your RAM up to 1866 with your highest OC.

Loosen the timings and increase the voltage.
