Laptop Power Supply, How do I fix it?

Hello fellow viewers!

Today I am asking you a bit of a complex question. I have a medium-sized HP Laptop which is a couple years old, and there seems to be a problem with it, and that problem is the Power Supply! (I am not talking about the battery). I was wondering if there is some way to fix it, I know that I've read someone, where you can fiddle with the wires and get it to "Jump Start" back into justice, but I can't say I remember exactly how.

Pretty much my question is, is how can I fix my power supply within my HP Laptop with a minimal amount of money.

Thanks!

NO !!!

You're not going to repair it. No one even fools with them

There's plenty of online sites that sell PS's . Spend some
time shopping, and you'll probably find a OEM or even a
compatible for 20-40 dollars. HP will easily charge $75+

There's no chance that I can install it myself, is there?

Cuz 20-30 bucks sounds good, and I don't feel like paying HP to install it - hence they charge extra for installation -

Are you talking about the power brick that plugs into the wall, or are you talking about the power socket inside of your laptop?

if its the power brick that you plug into the wall, you should be able to find that for 20-30 dollars on amazon, if its the power socket in your computer, you will have to get that fixed by the laptop people

It's the power supply inside the computer.

Well that sucks, thanks for the help.

hmm psu inside the laptop. thats going to be hard as you will have to disassemble the laptop. most psu on laptops are connected to the main board. there are also some laptops that are even soldered on it. you will also have to buy the specific psu for that laptop of course and you can find that probably on ebay. if the part is searchable on ebay then theres a chance that its easy to replace it. hope this helps.

they don't I think he means the ac port on the laptop, the power supply is that brick that laptops have that connects from the laptop to the wall outlet
