Looking pretty awesome. I like the subtle lighting you have. Any plans on sleeving the wires or just going to leave them as is?

Eventually. Right now I'm trying to find a decent replacement for the 1000HX decal. Probably going to make one with the ASUS ROG logo or a red version of the corsair logo (or photo shop some hybrid mix).

Just bought a OCZ Agility 3 120GB, 16GB more memory, and some lighting. Added a Red Corsair decal to the PSU. Pics soon!

I decided on an all red-black theme. Couldn't find the camera, but I wanted to show you guys the latest updates. Sorry about the poor phone pics.

Here is the new HX1000W decal I made in photoshop:

Here is a pic of the extra 16GBs I just installed,as well as a NZXT 2 meter Red LED Strip:

A 3mm red led will be installed into the waterblock as soon as its delivered.

I was actually thinking about making decals for my own build earlier today... Very nice work.

Thanks.

I revised the name of the project. Sounds better than "Tax Return Upgrade". Not really caring for it, as Echo base was my last rig. It's a place holder until I think of the final name.

Watercooled 7970s would be pretty sweet, but I'm over budget. Think it's worth the extra $300+?I'd have to buy 2 full blocks, some more tubes (I want to switch to red/black tubing, and an extra radiator (and possibly a better pump). I'm on a toss as the ascetics would look a whole lot better, but I have some poor overclocking 7970s. I can run one of them pretty sick, but the other cant go much above default ceiling.

I've never resleeved PSU sleeves, is it difficult? And more importantly, is it very time consuming? Would I have better luck just buying some extensions (which I think I need anyway)? It would be a nice little touch to the rig.

I also want to do something to the case, but I have no ideas? Any cool ideas you think would look sick with this build?

Status Update - Systems been working great, sans with 32GB memory issues (currently only running 16GB). I've updated my CPU to a C2 stepping of the chip (but sadly I haven't had time to overclock it yet - those tests will come later).

I recently re-did the tubing to red on my setup, added some new Corsair fans, and colored out some PSU cables. Sickest it's ever been.

Just updating my system - since the last update, the 32GB is running solid after configuring the memory manually in the system. I've added a Samsung 840 EVO 250gb SSD, and I have two AMD R9 290x Video cards on their way to my house as we speak to upgrade the...still pretty relevant HD7970 CF that I currently have in the system. Really I'm just upgrading for something to do at this point, as this system rocks out everything I throw at it. Thinking about upgrading to the new Asus Rampage IV Extreme Black Edition board and getting a 4960X Processor - but I'll probably just rock out the Sandy Bridge system til something much faster and more cores comes out.

The R9 290X's came in!!

Comparison to the 7970

They are installed - but I noticed I need to dust out that system (didn't notice it without the camera flash).

Sometime in the next month or so (probably after X-Mas), I'm gonna put these bad boys on water. They actually sound more quiet than reference 7970s at 100%.
