[UPGRADE] X58 to Z68 Upgrade build Log *Pics are up!*

I've been given the ability to upgrade from my current X58 setup to a Z68 setup for only $40. How? My friend wanted me to build him a computer and agreed that I give him some of my parts and I'll buy myself new ones. Why would anybody do that? My CPU/MOBO/RAM combination currently costs around $600 online, I paid $470 for it back when prices were normal. While I give him something that costs that much, I'll be buying myself a Z68 CPU/MOBO/RAM setup that costs around $430. I'll also be upgrading my PSU.

What I had:
CPU: Intel Core i7 950
Motherboard: Asus Sabertooth X58
Ram: G.Skill 6Gb 1600mhz
PSU: Corsair HX650

What I'll be changing to:
CPU: Intel Core i5 2500k
Motherboard: ASUS P8Z68-V Pro (The previous choice was a Gigabyte GAZ68XP-UD4 but for some reason I decided to go with the ASUS)
Ram: SAMSUNG 8Gb 1600mhz low voltage kit (Its amazing ram that is able to reach 2133 mhz at CL11 timings under 1.6v, at stock its 1.35)
PSU: Silverstone Strider Gold 850w

This upgrade is not only meant to make my rig last a little longer without any future expensive upgrades but to also give me the ability to add another GPU in the future. Not only did I increase the wattage but also the PCIe lanes on the Sabertooth X58 were too close together. Now the ASUS will give the top GPU much more air to breathe once I go CrossfireX.

Just want to update you guys and say I've received all the parts yesterday and i just want to say It wasn't fun since UPS comes early at around 10 AM and nobody was home so the next delivery date was going to be MONDAY!! I couldn't let that happen so I made my mother be late to her dinner party with some friends and made her drive my to UPS at 8 PM tongue.gif To show my gratitude I decided to pay for the next time we were going to eat out smile.gif Today my mother drove me to Microcenter where I got the 2500k, the RAM, as well as an arm rest for my wrists when using my keyboard. Images were taken with my crappy cell phone in the beginning so I'm going to have to retake them but just wanted to let you guys know that a fellow comrade is up and running again and is filled with satisfaction of building 2 computers! I haven't OC'd anything yet but I sure am excited!
