what can i expect?

hello ocn,
im doubting a little if it will make sense to upgrade my mobo.
i wanna go to the computer store to buy a closed watercooling kit for my proc.
if im going there im trying to decide if i am gonna buy a asus 990fx sabertooth mobo.
http://www.alternate.nl/html/product/Moederborden_Socket_AM3+/ASUS/SABERTOOTH_990FX/559793/?baseId=700014
atm i have a gigabyte 870 rev 3.1 with usb 3.0 poorts.
http://www.gigabyte.com/products/product-page.aspx?pid=3788&dl=1#ov
will i see any significant changes anywhere if i upgrade to that moboor would it be a waste of money?
im talking about the sig rig.
i found that i will get better speeds of the ssd read/write but if thats the only thing i think it will be waste and i could better save to go to intel mobo/proc as i have been thinking about that also recently

Seems like a waste to me. Unless your SSD is capable of over 380MB/s read speeds I don't think you'd actually see any increase in speed from moving to a board with Sata 3. It might be a better idea to upgrade to an LGA1155 system. Z77 boards should be out pretty soon and we'll probably see Ivy Bridge CPUs sometime in April.

thanks for this,
unfortionally my vertex 2 supports max 285 mb read speeds so its prob a no go then

the reason I when for a AM3+ board over the AM3 board is becase the AM3 board wont work with the new FX cpu and AMD will get the FX problems and from everything thats coming out of AMD it is the CPU that AMD will be going with in the futerand I want to sell off my older stuffwhen they still have more value

the reason i have been thinking about is the vrm's
the board i have atm is a 4+1 without cooling on the vrm's
the newer board has a 8+2 phase vrm and cooling on it wich allows more overclock.
as im at the breakthrough of buying a watercooler for my cpu(only need a day off to go to the shop) i wanna push the hell out of it:p
the fx already fits in my mobo so that aint a prob although i dont want it.
i tried the fx8120 from my father in law in my desktop and benches came out lower.
i know i dont have the latest scheduler patches but still i think that wont fix the gapp i saw in benches i did

@truckerguy,
maybe its cheaper in the to wait one month more to have the money to buy the right board the first time so in the end it would safe money:p
