In this case they have allowed there competition to take the lead and be the first with new tech although they (Nvidia) have been speaking since Nov. 2010 of 28nm tech. Plain in simple they dropped the ball on this one. I can't remember the last time Amd had the lead in the single gpu market for 7-8 months. I'm firmly in the belief that Nvidia had kepler planned to be ready for CES 2012 and to have a similar launch to Amd's 7970 but something went wrong. So they had to go back to the drawing board thus explaining this delay.

I agree.
I forgot to add ... and inbetween new processes a sooper dooper price/perfromance card like gt104 biggrin.gif

And he was correct. It couldn't be done, in the time frame they planned anyway. It was "impossible" in the sense that it was supposed to be the full 512 core version and out earlier. We ended up with a lower core version and later than expected. He was right in a sense. It was only later that it was possible to make the full 512 core and still keep it within thermal design, A.K.A. GTX580. Charlie has been wrong about some things in the past, and is dripping with anti-Nvidia disdain usually, but he was pretty much dead on with Fermi information. Will his Kepler information be spot on as well? That is yet to be seen. Also, before anyone bothers to call me a loyalist or fanb**(I hate that word), I suggest you look at my other rigs. I own more NV cards than ATI/AMD.

Looking at that slide again it is the same slide from here which is from 11/26/2011, although I don't know about the bottom half

That's the same Lensfire rumor leak that everyone's still quoting.
They just took the LF table and created their own table to make it look more legit.

This is probably the 7th version of the leak I've seen so far.
