I've been waiting for them to start the "Fiber to the door" project.

This pleases That Guy.

Hmm.

While 2MB/s is great for my Comcast plan...

If Google could offer 200MB/s for the same speed & unlimited Bandwidth, yeah, they'd take the U.S's business entirely.

Hopefully as internet speeds go up in the future, hard drive space/ssd space per dollar can increase just as much if not more.

Why should disk space/per dollar increase cause of faster internet? That makes no sense.

Australia has the National Broadband Network (NBN) that is beginning to lay down fibre, unfortunately my suburb isn't on the list of places to get it in the next 12 months. Waiting for fibre to come to your town can take forever mad.gif Maybe I will look for a new job in KC.

They have silly copyright laws and arrest people for everything. Who the hell wants to do that.

I did not mean that one causes the other. I just meant I hope both happens since more internet speed will mean a need for larger hard drives to hold more data, well at least for me.

Because bell and rogers will find a way to prevent google to enter, and they will charge a ridiculous price making google entering the market pretty much impossible. They will also use this as another way to raise our prices even more.

Or because their ISPs actually compete with one another and lower their prices accordingly to attract the most customers.

Japan also has the world's most expensive real-estate...
