On CMSTORM.com the Xornet seems to have a new set of Firmwares. I was wondering if anyone has tried them out yet. Apparently the ReadMe noted it fixes LOD or Angle Snapping.

Just received my CM Spawn from Newegg which is $30 but comes with a $10 MIR. The Xornet is $20 at Microcenter so I'm still deciding whether I want to keep the Spawn or get the Xornet. It's not my first time with the Spawn. I returned it 3 months ago after finding the firmware hasn't been updated in a while.

The avago adns- 3090.

It is quite comfy considering it's a claw hybrid (I can stretch out my fingers and sort of palm it) and the rubber coating has a nice feel to it. The clicks are nice as well.

Just modded my spawn with a salmosa cable, had to switch the pins around. Now waiting for my corepad feet to arrive (thanks for the link skylit). Hope the corepad feet are good though cause i liked the stock feet on the spawn.

Could you go into more detail about how you swapped out the cord? The only reason I'm not using my spawn is because I hate the cable, and how much drag it causes.

Early batches of the Spawn had squared edged mouse feet, I haven't seen one myself though. My one had rounded feet so it was really good. Also new batches of the spawn will ship with a thinner more flexible cable according to an admin ay cm storm forums. However we don't know when those will show up at retailers, I couldn't wait so I modded mine tongue.gif

Is there any soldering involved or is it a pretty basic swap? Just trying to get an idea before I go and open up the mouse.

Basic swap, but you may have to change a few pins around. If you need help you can just PM me or I can explain here when the time comes.
