100 euro headphones?

hey all!

I've been looking towards buying a new pair of headphones lately, and I was origionally going to go with the sennheiser hd 558´s because I really like the shape( I tried my friends hd 595). Those are however out of sale pretty much everywhere over here unless I want to pay premium which I don't think it's worth (theres like 5 shops with them @ 110 euro's out of sale, then enough other shops but they are all 135-145+). I don't think it's worth it to pay that much for them so I thought of maybe going for the sennheiser hd 518.

I'm going to be using them for gaming/music (40/60) with music taste(45 rnb/35 elektro-dance-house-trance/20 jazz).
I tried to see if perhaps the AT ad-700 ones are available but they are not(at least I cant find em).

I originally wanted to wait for the 558's but one side of my current headphones died today frown.gif so im gonna be looking for something rather quick. is the 518 gonna be much of a "downgrade" over the 558's and are there any other headphones i should be looking for?

thanx in advance!

hmm Ultrasone's and Beyer's also should fit them. i don't have any exp with Beyer but many say are similar and should work..you need to quote me on that. or else just wipe beyer from ur mind as i don't ahve any exp with them. ultrasone on the other hand i do and does sound good with all those theme's. the Sennheisers usually have little bass or just that underlying need of a bit of that good ole bass.
check otu the HFI 580/HFI 780

well then again those would be only like 20-25% of what i really listen to mostly so i wonder if it isnt better to go for something better all around? anyway the beyerdynamics i have been looking at aswell but i think i need an amp for them? that would kind of shoot way beyond my budget. the ultrasone hfi 580's are already more expensive than what i can get the sennheiser hd 558 for :s thanx for your recommendation though
i still wonder wether the 518 is much of a downgrade or not? all of them are going to be quite an upgrade compared to what i "have" .
