when handling cryo, gloves and masks are required. you just have to use the right gloves and know how to remove them when lhe or ln2 gets on them.
for our hobby its still smart to use gloves when transfering ln2 from a big dewar to a smaller dewar, the valve and transfer lines often goes subzero.
It greatly depends on the kind of gloves you're wearing. When I work with this stuff in laboratories I use Cryo-Gloves and a face shield, but if you use almost any other type of glove it can be a real problem if you get any LN2 on your gloves.
