Budget-y build - Page 3

There are 408W on the 12V rail of the CX 500 which should be (just) enough to supply a 1055T and 460 with reasonable OCs.  I'm pretty sure the FX is more responsive to higher RAM speeds/increased bandwidth wise, but in any likelihood you will probably see few benefits over DDR3-1600 esp. considering that DDR3-1866 kits usually operate at somewhat higher timings.

Ok the plan is no overclocking. I'm going to spring on the FX-8120 deal and I've got all the other components coming from the egg.

So at stock clocks the PSU should be enough for an FX-8120 + GTX 460, yes? Also I opted for DDR3-1600. This is being put together for a non-performance enthusiast who's content with a P4... so I'm not too worried about an absolutely perfect system when it'll spend most of it's days playing Solitaire with a video encoding in the background

Also thanks for helping out! I would +rep you but... I can't frown.gif
