I'll join.

I have no idea about the bus-speed or NB speed.

I'm not home so I can't see the voltages.

But:
FX-8120
OC @ 3.5GHz
Multiplier @ 17.5.
Voltage as far as I know is stock.
Runs stable with Prime95 (tested for a few hours).

Agree. Here's what I need for 4.6GHz stable on air:
LL
Yeah, I have a high leakage chip with low Vid.

you should try to make the top fan an intake instead of an exhaust and compare. I have heard a lot of good things about switchin it up. If you have time you should test it biggrin.gif

There is no way go get an accurate core temperature on current Intel or AMD CPUs. Both report an offset from a nominal maximum temperature which is kept secret. Intel reports the offset zero-based, i.e. you normally get a negative reading so it's obvious that an offset has to be added. Coretemp & co add some made-up offset that seems reasonable.
AMD, OTOH, reports based on a value of 70, i.e. a reading of 70 is the nominal maximal die temperature. That looks reasonable until you notice that the reported Tctl is lower than ambient when your CPU sits idle with power management turned on and is cooled well. I have seen a reading of 10 at room temperature on my Bulldozer (which has the same implementation as Phenom according to AMD) so the actual temperature must be at least 15C higher.

On Bulldozer, Socket temp seems to be a much safer temp go go by, keep it under 65 C and you should be perfectly safe. You shouldn't have to worry about thermal throttling on the VRM side of things until you approach 1.5 V on the CPU with a CPU-NB bump.
