Thread Starter
Hi there guys, just had a question,i'm about to buy 2 HD's for Raid 0, but before i do that would i have to set the Asus EZ-Backup Raid mod selection (RAID_SEL) jumpers to RAID0 on the mobo or can i leave that on the default RAID1 and still configure a Raid 0? thanks, and hoping for a reply

Double check the manual, as my recall may be fuzzy.....I only read it enough to learn I couldn't do 4 drives in RAID 0.....

BUT....if you are only using 2 drives, you shouldn't need to use the EZ controller, just use the Intel Matrix controller which shouldn't require any jumpers, just configure it in the BIOS.

No

If you use the top two SATA ports then you are bypassing the ezbackup stuff which for some reason slows down my SuperPi scores.

I am running 2-74gb raptors in a raid-0 set up without touching the jumper because I do not use the bottom 2 plugs. You will need the raid driver off the cd and a floppy to create a raid driver disk if you go the route I described above.
