Upgrading Advice

Thread Starter
hi, I'm looking for some advice on the computer I just built, right now I'm running:

i7 2600k
Asus sabretooth p67 b3
16gb hyper x ddr3 1600mhz ram
gigabyte gtx580
corsair 128gb ssd
Seagate 1tb hdd
wd 250gb hdd
Samsung DVD r/w drive
corsair 900w psu
corsair h80 CPU cooler
wireless networking card
antec df-30 case
Logitech wireless wave keyboard and mouse

just got it to this point last week and was wondering if anybody has some system upgrade advice, I'm debating on ordering a r.a.t. 9 mouse and blu-ray drive but that's all I can really think of, built it for a gaming rig.

ya well I'm kind of obsessed with upgrading lol, I'm a mechanic by trade and I specialize in high performance applications, I get paid to push everything as far as it'll go lol, this was kind of a spur of the moment build, I did about an hour of research and just headed down to a local computer shop for a trunkload of stuff, just wanted to see if anybody has any suggestions of things I might not of thought of or missed since this is my first build in about 4 years, I did only get the 1.5gb gtx580, is the 3gb a huge difference? and ya I just ordered a bluray drive so that's covered, thanks for the Input so far

is there a huge gain if I sli 2 580's? I was debating on selling the gtx and picking up an hd6990 too but wasn't sure, if I was to go with sli would it make more sense to get 3 gb models or just stick with the 1.5gb models since I have one already?

I'll have to look into a 7950, I went backwards from builds I used to do, I always ran amd cpu's and ati graphics cards so I went Intel and nvidia lol, will check into sli on my current 580 too and ya, I was a little concerned on the ram just from hearing around the internet that I should be looking for ram that runs at 1.5v as what I have now the factory spec is 1.65, but wasn't sure if it was a big deal, that's the bad thing about Google, millions of opinions, very few answers lol.
