GPU Upgrade options!

Thread Starter
So right now I have a GTX460 1GB, here be what I ponder.... Get another 460 ($180) new ??? used and SLi. Get a single 560Ti/ maybe 570??, or should I wait for the 7870/7850? Whats going to give me the best performance for the least amount of money?

THANKS biggrin.gif

As 5xx and 68xx have already crashed the GTX 460's party in it's price range, I suspect the 460 won't get much cheaper: it'll only become rare and expensive like older high end graphics cards. Unless the AMD 7770 comes out with a rock bottom price, the GTX 460 ain't getting cheaper. Get another one for SLI, and enjoy the GTX 580 like performance you'll get from the setup.

Otherwise, I would wait for the 7890, or wait until the 7950 gets a bit cheaper.

the dual 460s is the best way to go. they perform better than the 560 alone and will be worth it in the long run. i dont know about GTX580 performance, but it will at least be more or less the equal to a 570.
