Looking for suggestions on my (Nvidia GeForce 560 Ti) problems

Thread Starter
Alright so I recently bought an Nvidia GeForce 560ti graphics card from best buy. I went ahead and hooked everything up and installed the latest drivers.

I hooked up my monitor though DVI to VGA and worked fine. I open up any game and I see vertical pale white lines across my screen. Its barely noticeable but enough to be visible and annoying.

So I just thought it was my DVI to VGA cable so I switched it out and problem still existed. I switched to HDMI and problem was actually fixed but the quality was very bad. The screen colors should be much better since on VGA it looked better. So Running through HDMI seemed too messed up the colors but fixed the vertical line problem.

I went ahead and bought a high speed mini HDMI cable and the picture quality still existed. I was thinking about going back to best buy and seeing if I can return the video card and get another one. If anyone has any suggestions on what might be causing this problem I’m willing to throw some cash into your PayPal if the solution works.

First, install new drivers from nvidia website
if not, then try seeing if there is a lot of dust in the ports
if not then return

Does the problem occur without the driver installed? If so its a hardware issue, if not it could just be a corrupt driver. Try reloading the driver using the custom -> perform clean install method. If it persists and you have another system to test the card in do so as it will let you know if its the card itself. If you don't it would probably be fastest to get a replacement at the store. If the replacement has the same issue its doubtful you got 2 bad cards.
