simple buy a new psu (power supply) its not giving off enough stable (it may have a high wattage but lets just say teh quality of the energy its giving off is bad) and thus for your cpu and gpu aren't getting enough power andlock up during intensive use (gaming) also you need to make sure that your oc's are stable if you have any so run prime95 to test the cpu and use atitool to test the cards overclock

yes it will i use it and have the same card (scan for artifacts). and no you can't change the psu you can change the vcore (amount of volts running threw the cpu) or the vdimm (the amount of volts running threw the ram) the psu is the physical box at teh top back of your case were you plug the power cord into. most people (not tech savy) just use one that comes with the case and then don't realise why there 7950gx2 and fx62 are just randomly shuting down, well its because they don't have enough power going threw them. If you do plan to buy a new psu there are some good brands to look at : Seasonic, OCZ, Antec, Enermax (and the best of all) PC&P (procduce really high quality psu for a top price) you probably want a 450+ watt power supply
