Audio Source Splitting?

I am not sure if this is in the right section or not... as I am looking for software, I thought I would start here.

What I am trying to do:
I am looking for a program I can use to split an audio source, to isolate a guitar track, with the intention of learning to play said music. The isolated clip would be used as a learning tool.

I currently own Sony Acid Studio 7. I haven't delved into it too much, but I do know it works great for recording my guitar tracks.

Is there a good piece of software available for consumer use to help me accomplish this task? Money is no object right now.

If I understand correctly you are trying to extract the guitar from a song. If so, audacity would be just fine to do that. Just mess around with the vocal remover.
