The free shipping I think was 7-10 days, not sure. I don't mind, better than paying for shipping to save a few days. I've already got DDR3-2200 out of 1600 sticks, I can wait to test these out.

I've got 32Gb as well, but not the board yet. I'm thinking about X79 (ASUS X79 Deluxe)...

What sticks did you get 2000 out of? I have 24Gb of the G.Skill RipJaw DDR3 1600 Cas 8 Blue sticks, and I can't squeeze anything out of them...

The 1600 CAS8 blue sticks suck. I sold those at half what they cost new on CL, just to get rid of them. tongue.gif

I've got the 9-9-9-24, 1.35v blue Ripjaws. 4x4GB of them. To get 2200 out of them, it takes 9-11-10-28-2T, and 1.675v. 2133 runs fine at the same timings with only 1.65v with my sticks. Your miles may vary.

The CAS8 sticks that you've got, I had those same ones...and I couldn't break past about 1650 with them at 8-9-8-24, 1.65v. Didn't matter timings or volts, they just would not budge past that. Shot them with 1.75v...no go. Timings to 12-14-12-32...no go. 1866 would not go at all.

I can feel an overall faster "snappiness" with 2133 over 1600. And I also saw a huge jump in 3DMark. I think my difference was like 1.5k points, but I'd have to re test to verify.

If you can afford to get 1866 or 2133 sticks (or those beastly Samsung sticks....), then there's really no reason NOT to. Just because 1600 works, doesn't mean you shouldn't get the best you can afford in your budget. smile.gif

ive been able to pull 2300mhz+ out of my $80 ripjaws 8gb kit with some looser timings and slightly higher voltage

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231476

ive also managed 2260mhz rock solid with stock timings and voltage biggrin.gif

I agree with pioneer if you can afford it then go for it ive noticed the improvement from my set of 1333 and even from playing around at 1600
