Background - My GF will be getting my old Rig and I am going to build a new one. The primary game I play is SWTOR.... I want to be able to be in a people in Ilum and still pull 30+ FPS.

To Prepare I have been reading countless reviews but I seem to be undecided on a couple key components... Any help would be wonderful

CPU -

Motherboard - Undecided

Memory - Undecided (I don't know if I want 8 gig or 16 gig and I can't seem to figure out how much timings really matter...i.e. how sexy the kit has to really be)

Motherboard - Undecided (I want a z68 but unsure which is the best value)

Power Supply - Undecided

Hard Drive -

Graphics - (I feel like 2X 7950 is the way to go)

http://www.amazon.com/Sapphire-11196-00-40G-Radeon-PCI-Express-Graphics/dp/B0070APVQ6/ref=sr_1_2?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1328752195&sr=1-2

Case -

Undecided

...I know that is a lot of undecided, any help would be awesome.

Motherboard - Asrock Z68 Extreme 3/4 Gen 3 or Asus P8Z68-V Pro

RAM - 8GB is fine for gaming. G.Skill 2X4GB Ripjaws X

PSU - 700W-800W should be fine. Anything on this list from Corsair, Antec, Seasonic, Silverstone, and even Rosewill is decent.

Case - Should be up to you based on the needs you want. I'll recommend the 650D though. Looks good. Can be found cheaper at other places.

Thanks! for the help.

Quick questions - I am leaning towards a Corsair PSU... what is the difference between the HX, TX, and GS?

In regards to the memory - what is the benefit of the low voltage, is there a good "normal" voltage alternative?
For the PSU,i think you should get the HX series as they are modular in design and will keep your case more organized.TX and GS series are not.Memory wise, the G-Skills Ripjaws are always recommended here and are a pretty good set to have.If you want to save a couple of bucks,8GB should be enough but there is nothing wrong with having more 16GB.

2500k is a good choice for CPU

for mobo try a p8p67 mobo, i suggest http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813131771

you don't need 16gb, a good set of 8gb is plenty, preferably low profile, high profile is just unnecessary and it gets in the way of coolers, check this thread http://www.overclock.net/t/1210482/amazon-samsung-2x4gb-low-voltage-ddr3-1600-kit-for-40-ocing-to-2200/0_50

psu seasonic is my choice personally, this is good http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817151087

hard drive, get a smaller ssd, 60-80gb for your boot drive and main games, and then get a good hdd like this http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822152185&Tpk=samsung%20spinpoint%20f3

your GPUS are way too overkill, just to play your intended games you could just get one of them, or a gtx580 or SLI gtx580s if you really wanted to, which you don't need to imo, also what is the res of your monitor you are playing on? if you are just playing on 24-27 inch monitor at 1080p or whatever one gtx580 will be more than enough

you forgot a cooler, get a silver arrow http://www.frozencpu.com/products/11676/cpu-tri-77/Thermalright_Silver_Arrow_Dual_160mm_x_140mm_Fan_Universal_CPU_Cooler_Sockets_775_1156_1366_AM2_AM2_AM3.html

for a case, I would suggest something nice and big, I like my NZXT Phantom, but then im biased, depends on your style, if you like it clean or flashy

Asus Z68 mobo (you never know when you might need onboard graphics), 1 7970 or wait for GTX 680 or wait for 2 7870s (forget 2 7950s, that's EXTREMELY overkill), A solid 750w PSU, An SSD of some type, and an H60 or H80 cpu cooler (worth it to overclock that 2500k)
