I modified my 8800GT Alpha Dog graphic card by putting an AMD CPU heatsink / fan on it. I run the Furmark program to test it and I got good results. The stock GPU fan is always on and it's rpm is controlled. I unplugged the AMD fan on it to see if the temperature gets high. As expected, the GPU temp was rising over 80 Celsius so I plugged back the fan. With this heatsink modification, I overclocked the 8800GT and the temperature only reached 70 Celsius max during the FurMark test. I'm satisfied with the results.
