Here I am also looking at these:

U2410

LCD2490WUXi2

U2412M

U2312HM

U2212HM

I am looking at these as well. Eaither I am stupid when comes to monitor or they look the same to me? Also I have a feeling some of them suck so much (not the size of it, but just in general). what do you guys think?

P.S. Just to be clear why I am after glossy screen. I like how on Apple Thunderbolt 27-inch games look kind of "glowy" (it's like more colorful and kind of illuminates or whatever the word I am looking for). I like that effect. It just adds more depth to it. I do not know what a hell I am talking about, but I do know what I am after.

With those options, I'd personally go U2412 (LED backlit over the CCFL backlit of the 2410). The U2312HM won't be too bad, but its only 1080p (the 24 is 1920x1200). It's also smaller by an inch, and that one extra inch can really make a difference.

The NEC you've chosen is incredibly over priced, when the U2412 is just as good if not better for less than half the price.

I would say the Dell UltraSharp U2412M or Dell UltraSharp U2312M.

Do not mean to be rude in any way, but why is 2410 way more expensive? Is is also 400 cd/m2 and 6ms.

It's discontinued. Same reason the 2007FP (4:3 and 1600x1200) goes for $400 on Dell's website. Outdated and discontinued items sell for more.

Now I have to find a demo of U2412M and see how it will look. I hope I get that "glowy" or "illuminated" look and feel that I am after. I also hope this is the latest model from them. What do you guys think of ASUS and or HP?

This is exactly what you are looking for: 16:10 aspect ratio, 24" screen, zero input lag, perfect colors, 2304x1440 res, 80hz refresh rates and inky black levels all for less than $400

http://www.accurateit.com/index.php?option=com_virtuemart&Itemid=2&page=shop.product_details&flypage=vmj_naru.tpl&product_id=1811&category_id=1&vmcchk=1&Itemid=2

I have one and it is AMAZING. It blows away my three Samsung S27A750 120hz lcds and it kills my old Dell U2410. Bar none this is THE MONITOR FOR GAMING.

I would say ASUS if I had a choice of the two; mostly for design. Out of every brand I would say Dell.

I will go and test these two as well as those two Dell monitors and see what's up.

ASUS PA246Q
ASUS PA238Q
Dell U2412M
Dell U2312HM

Thank you guys for the info. If you find any other suggestions please let me know as i am not getting this until GW2 comes out OR until I decide what to buy. +REP to UltraHoboLord and pioneerisloud!

LOL how do I do it as I only see +REP under my name?!
