I would not fall into the response time trap, it is a gimmick and likely just grey-to-grey times. Honesty as a gamer you should look into input lag instead of response time.

I have a U2412m and have never experienced ghosting.

ASUS PA238Q -VS- Dell U2312HM

ASUS Pro: +2ms response time
Dell Pro: +50 cd/m2 brightness

The contrast ratio is awkward because they use a different system: ASUS Smart Contrast Ratio and Typical + Max Dynamic Contrast Ratio

I would go with the U2312 in a heartbeat.

I don't think they have it on their websites. I would do a quick google search.

No seriously go the dell. I have 3 of them. The response time means nothing. I have no ghosting across three screens. It's IPS. Not glossy. Sorry but in anything but a black room glossy it terrible. Also the warranty with dell is awesome and to be fair I haven't used a better monitor ever.

I recently picked up a 2412M, awesome picture and no visible ghosting at all (I play mostly BF3 and SC2). The 16:10 resolution is not a problem though you will see black bars when playing back HD content but again, not an issue. The monitor is also height adjustable and viewing angles are superb. Take a look here if you need any more information on the monitor. http://www.tftcentral.co.uk/reviews/dell_u2412m.htm

If you decide to pick one up, google "dell coupons" before you do as you can normally find a discount coupon to make the monitor even cheaper biggrin.gif
