Help choosing between single SSD or RAID 0

Hello everyone.
Im in the market for an SSD upgrade, and was curious if it is worthwhile to buy two 60GB drives in raid 0 instead of one 120gb drive? Is there a noticeable performance difference? I'm also open to suggestions since im not very familiar with SSDs (I have a budget of $200)

I would go for a single 120GB drive for reliability sake.

For the speed freak, two 60GB drives would be fantastic.

Depending on the chosen RAID drives, however, the extra speed may not be much over a single SSD. This is how I see it.

As the second poster said, two ssd in raid doesn't bring you the performance that two hdd in raid does.

The 4k scores for ssd in raid don't improve enough imo. 4k is your everyday performance number. Sequential does improve a lot but that's only helps for large file transfers.

Thanks everyone, I decided to get a 120Gb OCZ vertex 3. My crucial C300 64GB was too small to fit everything, but is it possible/advisable to place these two drives in RAID0, even if they are different sizes?
