Clear dust out of the radiator using compressed air. My antec 620 (pretty much the same as H50) went up 10c when I forgot to clean out the fan filter and radiator after a few months.

Cleaned out and back to the original performance of the cooler

Stupid question but, do you have the 4pin cable connected to the cpu fan connector on the motherboard?

Problem Solved everyone.

So after doing more digging around and taking my fans off and cleaning nothing helped out what so ever. Last resort was to make sure it wasnt virus or anything. Ran Malwarebytes and discovered 28 infections, cleaned that out restarted and bam temps are now low 30s C, just like before perfect. SO one of the infections was causing the temps to go up alot. Thanks for everyones help on this and hope this helps someone else out.

Wow, interesting. I though you checked your CPU usage when saying that its idle. But that's nice to hear you solved it, try something other program/anti-virus software too, to see that there isn't anyting left of it (like backdoor trojan which would download more ugly infections). smile.gif

If it was that badly infected, I would boot to DVD and re-install the OS.

Well i did not mention that, but i did use cpu-z to monitor voltage and at idle the voltage was at 1.0032 at 1600.32MHz with temps still in the 50s C. SO i think either the infection wass giving my system false numbers causing my fans to kick up to 100% and not make any changes. Even when I ran Prime 95 before getting rid of my infection the temps never went over 55C which i found strange, after deleting the viruses and overclocking my CPU to 4.7GHz @ 1.368V I ran Prime 95 for 8 hours max temp at 72C and idles at 27-29C constant.

I have looked into that, but have ran atleast another 15 scans and no traces of anything not even in the registry, i looked through the registry for the specific viruses to make sure nothing was left over and nothing popped up, i will keep track of it and keep you guys informed if it happens again.

Again thanks for everyones help on this, and hope this thread helps another person in the future.

It would be wise to do a clean install if ur comp was that infected because it would have corrupted some files that may cause u problems down the road.

Yeah 70c idle is WAY HIGH. If it were me i would not use that computer until i got the cooler situation figured out. My money is on the fact that the H50 took a crap, or some how it got moved since it was seated previously. I would investigate that first. Good luck
