First Gaming PC build - Page 5

RAM is soo cheap don't stop at 4GB.
Even 8GB RipJaw will run as fast as anything thats out there.

I would replace the 6970 with a 7970, 7950, 580 or 2.5GB 570.
Other then that looks good.

I personally wouldn't get a refurbished seagate HD, or any really since who wants to lose all your data

I have had 2 seagates fail on me recently and have switched to WD and Samsung

Also for a good gaming mouse I'd recommend the Logitech g400 @ $42 its cheaper than some of the ones listed and is very proven:

i do agree about the HDD its abit risky but to fit everything in there and make it a balanced rig i had to by the way the GS500 costed 62$ the GS400 is costing 42 a diffrence of 20 dollers and u can get a new 500gb hdd for 80$ smile.gif which saves 10 dollars get another 2GB RAM RAM for 14$ thumb.gif
i dont know about gaming keyboards and mouse sostuck with what the OP wanted tongue.gif

Thread Starter
Going with that case saved me enough money to upgrade to the 6970 2 gig rather than the 6870 2 gig

wouldn't advise 6GB either go 4GB or 8Gb to use the Dual memory thing.

Dude spend the 50 bucks on a 8gb dual channel kit. It's so cheap right now there is no reason not to. Definitely do not get the three sticks as you will not be able to run it in dual channel mode.
