Don't really care. If it looks like that, I'm sticking to 7. And I've been on every new Windows since 3.1, on release day.

I have to ask, did you use Win8?

After playing with the start menu, I must sa it's much better than the old one.

I remember elitists complained A LOT about Windows 95 UI and now they can't live without it.

I have/am using win 8 in vm ware and it has not start menu and it's somewhat frustrating to use when your in the desktop mode. Also the computer isn't just for elitist and there was a reason the 95 ui was conceived.

What pattern? Win95: Bad at first, then good, Win98: Bad at first, then good, WinME: Bad, Win2k: Good, WinXP: Bad at first, then good, Vista: Good, but everyone thought it was bad because they didn't look at it after SP1, Win7: Good simply because it's Vista with a slight makeover.
