Looking to get a "new" graphics card, concerned about size.

Around the end of the week I should be getting enough money to finally upgrade my video card and PSU, the card I'm looking to get is here:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814125385

My only problem is that It might just be a tad too big for my storm scout case, it measures in at a length of 11.4".

Now I was wondering, is that measured from the tab that you screw into the back of the case? Or is it measured from side to side excluding the tab? If it includes the tab I will have just enough space, if not, well I'll have to find something that's 1/8th of an inch shorter.

Yea, its way too big. My reference 6970 wouldnt fit in my scout without modding the hard drive rack. According to Cooler masters spec, graphics cards over 10.6" in length will not fit. So it would take a lillte modding. And its measured from the ends of the card, the L piece where the screw goes isnt counted, since it really doesnt matter.

Well crap, thank you for the info, any ideas on size-appropriate 6950s under $280 that can be unlocked to 6970 shaders? I was going for http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814102954 but it just went out of stock today, I've seen it on a couple other sites for the same price but I've had good experiences with newegg and Idk if I'd trust ordering from somewhere else...

Well, Im gonna go out on a limb and say that most if not all 6950's that are using non-reference pcb's, arent going to unlock. Finding one short enough shouldnt be a problem though.
