I've just gotten mah feet wetsies, For the first time.

So, here it is, my first water cooling setup, I'd like to thank juggalo23451 for his hours and hours with me over MSN, I'd like to say i've learned a few things from my first experience, but in the same example i've learned nothing! it took 2 rebuilds and 3 coolant leaks before i actualy got it right, My carpet hates me And i tell ya compression fittings can be a huge pain in the ass to deal with my poor thumbs :<<br />

Things i've learned
NEVER OVERFILL THE RES HOLY MOTHER OF GOD THAT WENT BAD, it looked good, i started it up, and it practicly exploded and went everywhere

The 7970 does not like getting wet, Thankfully my system was off at the time and i was only powering the pump.

The 7970 was already a heavy card, with a waterblock + water it weighs more then my motherboard + cpu + ram combined

And lastly, if i've learned anything at all, it's that internet explorere is the most aweful of all web browsers and it's CONTINOUS SCROLLING UP IS STARTING TO GRIND MY GEARS, HOW HARD IS IT TO STAY WHERE I LEFT IT?!?!?!?!

pics! or atleast a picture

Did i miss something or has the internet rules changed, I can no longer upload anonymously to anywhere anymore, What has gillard broken now

Imgur.com, wonderful anonymous image hosting, and it strips out metadata in case your camera embeds gps coords (like the iphone does).

Now, to the subject at hand: I was actually rather surprised myself when I got my first full-cover gpu block, my cpu blocks were obviously much lighter due to the small size and it just completely shocked me how heavy the gpu block was. Your tubing runs look to be a bit excessive, but if you've got your leaks sorted out you can't really argue with a working loop... tongue.gif Glad to hear you were doing some leak testing (or at least filling the loop) without powering the components, it's a safety step you really shouldn't ever skip no matter how many builds you've done.

So, now that you're up and running, does it live up to your expectations?

Yes and no it is nice to see the huge drop in temps that's for sure and I want to get a second 7970 and water cool that in the future though I am thinking of just waiting for ivy bRidge and using a 7990 or two since pcie 3.0 @ 4x is still more then enough for it

Since pcie 3.0 @ 4x is equal to pcie 2.0 @ 8x and the 7970 doesn't lose much performance at 8x something like 1%

And as for imgur I tried it wouldn't let me
