Quick H60 Q9550 temp query.

Hi guys,

Just looking for some opinions on these temps im getting. Long story short I had to remove my H60 then put it back on obviously removing the paste that came with it ( which to be fair seemed like good paste.)
Anyway, reapplied with AS5 and had a bit of a game getting decent temps so had to do this 3 times.

Soooooo temps im getting now on stock 2.8Ghz ( I know its an old proc but hoping you guys can remember the temps for it ) are roughly 36-37c idle and hitting 49-50c with IBT.

Anyway would love to hear what you guys have to say about that and whether I should try to reapply paste for a 4th time smile.gif

Cheers!

IDK could be right, what was the temps before? I know when I had a H50 on my q9550 back in the day, It would run at 4.25ghz 1.38v and not go over 72c IBT. You should be fine, these chips can take quite a bit of heat. Never ran my q9550 at stock so I couldn't even comment on the temps for that.

Hehe cant remember now, I did have them all written down but my Mrs has thrown it away ( Had all my OC setting as well so gotta start from scratch again!). I Just ran IBT again on very high and it crept up to 57c. Hmmm not sure what to do as im gonna put it back up to 3.^Ghz again and im afraid its gonna get too hot but at the same time i really cant be bothered to take it all off again and remount. Anyone else think my temps are too high?
