The offer is still valid I believe, it was in relation to a wanted ad I posted in the classifieds.

I think I'm gonna go with it as the lowest I've found for 6174's on eBay has been about 550 including shipping...

That's a 30% gain in performance for a 60% increase in price (rough estimates)

They were 490ea with like $60 shipping each, would not give me multi buy discount, also would not combine shipping

Also, 450 each is a 30% increase in price for a 30% increase in performance... Much of a muchness...

Something that I read said they were low TDP, as in 85w I think, does that mean they will not clock as good being low voltage?

Cheers bud, so it looks as though every 100mhz is roughly equviliant to 30sec TPF on a 6901... Good to know...

Any idea as to the overclocking capability as it is a low voltage CPU?

I understand you can increase voltage on home CPU's but can you on the server boards? Or is it only increasing the strap?

Unfortunately even with the bios hack the voltage has yet to be unlocked/adjustable.
