Is lenovo a good brand?

Thread Starter
Planning on getting myself a laptop soon, my budget is about $700, and performance isn't really my priority since I don't game on laptops much. My priority would be reliability and quality, and I've heard that Lenovo is pretty solid compared to HP and Dell. But the thing is that I'd never heard of Lenovo until recent years, while I've been hearing HPs and Dells for a long time. So does anyone here had experience on the Lenovos? Any help will be appreciated.. Thanks!!

Lenovo is really good for durability, another option is Sony. I'm typing this from a 5 year old sony vaio, Its been through hell and back, I've spilled water on it, it gets carried around constantly in a backpack, and it gets used 8 hours a day. Its still running as good as the day I bought it. I can't believe this thing has lasted this long.

stay away from dell, hp, ext. honestly they are meant to last a few years, and not much longer they want you to buy another one then.

Thanks for the quick replies. I'd actually thought about getting Sony too, but they seemed kinda of pricey compared to the three brands I mentioned lol.

Lenovos are pretty good for the price, Asus are really nice laptops and Sony is good but usually more expensive. Those are the 3 I usually recommend for regular use laptops. For gaming laptops I recommend Asus, Sager, MSI etc...
